Maybe some of you thought that the Arringtons had their hands full as it is. Maybe you thought they were done adding to their family and any more additions would simply drive them off the deep end. Well, think again folks cause we just added a new member to our family! This is Lily Mae and she is a Chinese Crested. This is the breed that I have always wanted and when I found her for half the usual price I just couldn't resist. She is somewhat of a rare breed. Within the breed are two varieties, Powderpuff and hairless. With those two extemes there's everything in between. Both varieties are found in the same litter. Powderpuffs have a fluffy fur all over their bodies in a double coat like most dogs. Hairless have no hair on their bodies (just skin) and soft fur on their heads, feet, and tails. Lily is what they call a hairy hairless. She has a short single coat of hair on her body, then the soft hair on her head, feet, and tail. They are very fun and interesting dogs. They are not from the usual line of most domestic dogs which is Canis domesticus or canis familiaris. She is from canis africanus. Originating from Africa, the Chinese picked up these hairless dogs on trade routes to use as ratters on their ships because they did not shed, and were hypo-allergenic. (very little dander). They were later used in China as bed warmers. Thats right, they are hot dogs! They're warm to the touch. One last tid bit of info on these strange little creatures, they like to climb a bit and they don't pant as much as regular dogs because they have sweat glands just like us. Guess what that means guys, I get to pop an occasional pimple on our little pup! What fun. Anyway, she is very fun and thinks that she is one of the children. We are happy to have her around.

-Joseph Smith
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"
- Martin Luther King Jr.
The Gods we worship write their names on our faces, be sure of that. And a person will worship something, have no doubt of that either. One may think that tribute is paid in secret, in the dark recesses of his or her heart, but it is not. That which dominates imagination and thoughts will determine life and character. Therefore it behooves us to be careful what we are worshiping. For what we are worshiping, we are becoming.
