"Oh Lord God, deliver us in Thy due time from the little narrow prison, almost as it were, total darkness of paper, pen and ink and a crooked, broken, scattered and imperfect language."

-Joseph Smith

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"

- Martin Luther King Jr.

The Gods we worship write their names on our faces, be sure of that. And a person will worship something, have no doubt of that either. One may think that tribute is paid in secret, in the dark recesses of his or her heart, but it is not. That which dominates imagination and thoughts will determine life and character. Therefore it behooves us to be careful what we are worshiping. For what we are worshiping, we are
becoming.

`Tis the Season

Our Tree

So, our friend Cat and her sister Ingrid have a Christmas party every year. There's no telling just what to expect. Last year it was a luau complete with the limbo. This year, Ingrid wanted to do a more formal dress party. Not dresses but nice. We laughed about this because the party is held in the Fossom family basement. So, Cat, being the funny gal that she is, thought it would be fun to dress up in a dressy but also a bit eccentric way. Oddly enough, we weren't the only ones who showed up in this way. It's a bit hard to tell, but my ensemble was complete with giant nutcracker earrings and curling ribbon in my ringletted hair. James had a fohawk with red shirt and green and white tie. We completed the night with lovely photo's by the tree and the piano in the conveniently red sitting room. Sigh.

Mills performed with her class at the Festival of trees. Naturally I am a parent who swells with pride when I see my beautiful and talented daughter up there cutting a rug or singing her heart out. Good job Mills!
